The vase of water looked kinda bare, so I added a little pond scene on bottom with some tumbled glass and a glass frog :D

I love it!! It looks just like a miniature pond. I would never have thought of decorating the inside of a vase like that - well done. :D

Darn cute! At one time I had a beta on my desk like that. I gave him away though, the water kept turning green

Thank you all for the nice compliments

I have a few old plastic fish that belonged to my grandmother that I was thinking of using too. The fish are about an inch long. They had a couple of inches of fishing line (need to re-attach) on the bottoms with a small round weight attached. The small weight kept the fish floating in the "middle" part of the tank, and so I think they would do the same thing in the vase.

What do you guys think? add a couple fish? Or, would it be too much stuff going on?

I loved the bottom decor. Well though up. Won't the fish disappear in the stems, or is that just the idea?

Hmmmm... fish or no fish. I think I'd leave the fish out.
I say this because of two things... one they would take the focus away from that cute frog. And two...I think with the fish "swimming" it makes the scene a little unrealistic. Frogs don't just sit on the bottom of the pond. (Did that make any sense?)
How about getting another vase, transplant some of the pothos and add the fish to it?

    Droopy,

I think the fish would eventually disappear because of the roots/stems The roots can fill the vase up quite a bit if you let them go to long, which I'm good at!

    cherylad.

That's a good idea! I think I will leave the frog to himself and start a whole new vase with some fish and see how it turns out.

    Thanks for your comments!

That glass frog looks fantastic! Not sure about adding the fish, as all the other decorations are glass.

Wow, that's awesome! I love it! I would have never thought of doing something like that. Please post photos of your other vase with fish. I would love to see that one too.

    SanDiegoLarry,

    Thank you!
My Mother used to own a gift shop until she retired (I also worked there) so I was able to get a couple of the glass frogs for free :stew1:

    Thank you FlowerFreak22,

I will definitely post photos of a plant/fish vase in the future :stew2:
