My cousin was hit last night by a drunk driver while taking his trash to the street. Please keep him in your prayers. I have heard nothing about the extent of his injuries. They took him into surgery last night and there has been no information come from the hospital for an update yet. Keep his mom in your prayers, too. She has lost three of her seven boys to cancer. She is beside herself with worry. Thanks all.
Oh Carolyn what dreadful news!! I do hope that Chuck isn't too badly injured. Did they catch the driver who knocked him down? I don't understand why people think they are capable enough to control a car when they've had a skinful of alcohol and can hardly even stand. :-x His poor mum must be at her wits end. Do let us know how Chuck is as soon as you hear any news. Until then we're all sending healing thoughts his way.
Thanks all. I still haven't heard a thing. I am surely hoping the driver did not leave the scene. I know he lives on a curve and the driver jumped the curb. That is all I have know. sad, sad, sad.

Thanks all. The last I heard he was in surgery and had his leg broken in several places below the knee and his foot was "crushed" (which I am not sure the extent of the damage there or if crushed was a general term referring to many broken bones). He has pain in his right side/hip and I am sure much pain just from the impact and being thrown and hitting the ground, too. It sounds to me as if he was very fortunate and it could have been much worse, but he still will have a long recovery. I feel really bad for him.
