Ok, I'll bite. How did you make it blue?

(My favorite color, by the way.)

    mine too!!!!!!

I just love color blue, and when I saw this had to have it! I'm not an orchid fan, I rec'd one on Valentines day a pink, but I don't buy them. This one yep came home with me. I have heard they are blue by silver vase through technology. Which doesn't say much, some say they soak the roots in blue color, I'm not sure, its not sprayed and some had buds unopened and they are blue. Anyway it matches my decor and I'm happy!

That is beautiful. However they made it blue, they did a great job of it.

I only know of one blue orchid (very rare) and it's called Vanda 'Blue Magic.' It's not actually a true blue but more of a purplish blue but is still very attractive.

Your orchid has had blue colouring added to the water which has been taken up by the plant and the petals have been stained by it. It will, in time, revert to its origional colour but in the meantime it's a lovely looking thing and I can see why you couldn't resist buying it.

I saw some of these at the local nursery and I was very tempted to buy some. Unfortunately my luck with orchids in the past is not good, so I decided not to get them. I loved the color as I have never seen blue orchids before. Who knows, I still might decide to try them again. I would just hate if they died though.

    one day maybe

Would be nice one day to see actual true blue flowers like this! I agree it will probably die on me, but was amazing and its rare I treat myself like this! So will look at it while it lasts! Before long spring will be here and then its all about outside flowers for me!
