My Pride of Barbados is doing very well and putting on a show now.

A few things were starting to flower around the family home, but will wait until next week to get photos once they are in full bloom.
But while sweeping/mopping the porch, I found a nice surprise. Didn't realize there was a message on the back of the chair planter my brother gave me.

And, I don't believe I've introduced you all to my little friend "Treacle". I got him from a guy on the side of the road outside of Albuquerque about 15 years ago. He carved him with a chain saw!
Wish he would have smiled for this portrait though!
    :D

OO Cheryl your Pride of Barbados is really something!! :D I must get some orange flowers for my garden as they are so beautiful.

Treacle was a great find wasn't he? Why do people throw lovely things like him out for the rubbish?

What a nice surprise to get with your chair - just the right sentiments for a gardener too. :-D

Eileen... Treacle wasn't thrown away. The guy was making and selling them on the side of the road. I got one for some friends of mine as a wedding gift... but just had to go back and get one for myself!

Kay... My sis-in-law gave me seeds for the Pride a couple of years ago. I just love the color and seems to be pretty hardy. I hope to collect some seeds this year (I didn't get any last year.)
