I am getting some seeds and I've read that it is easy to grow from seed, but I can't find much info about how long before it will bloom. Any advice would be very welcome!

Echium candicans or Echium fastuosum and the Echium Vulgare that I have are all members of the Borage family. I don't have any info on how long it takes from planting to bloom, but I would guess your chance of seeing bloom quicker depend on how hot your weather is since they like it hot.

The seeds I have were sent to me for free by Seeds of change when they screwed up my order, the seedlings grew to about 3 inches tall then died. I still have some seeds so I plan on trying again.

    Thanks Toni!
It's pretty hot here and it hasn't been as humid as usual. This is a very impressive looking plant! I hope it does well!

From the pictures I have found, it should be a gorgeous addition to the garden. Be sure to take pictures for us when it blooms.

:D Well, I am still waiting for the seeds, but when and if I can get it blooming I will definitely post pictures.

I am doing a garden bed in shades of violet and orange...with a touch of green.....

I am getting a Bicolor butterfly bush (shades of orange and lavender), asclepias (orange), Grandpa Ott's Morning Glories (purple), french marigolds (orange), decor zinnias (coral and chartruse), purple salvia, Sundown Echinaceas, and purple echinacea. I am planning to plant by height so it will be quite tall.
