I have pictures of the other backyard through changes. I thought you could see how it progresses from last year.
Picture one is the large dirt pile the neighbor piled there while he was building on his property.

The next shot shows it with the apple trees we planted and the butterfly bush and the inside fence we put in so Chance wouldn't get into the flowers before they were grown.

Then there is one after one of the gullywasher storms.

and now a couple that DR took on Sunday.

Dan came yesterday and cut some of the weeds so you can see the grass that we planted. Actually we planted a pasture mix so it would fill in faster. It's looking better but not great yet. Dooley

That's quite a transformation Dooley. LOTS of growth. The inside fence worked wonders on Chance I hope.

The inside fence only works if there is not a cat around. Dooley

Well that's a BIG improvement from the pile of dirt in the first picture Dooley!!! Those gullywasher storms certainly left a whole lot of water behind didn't they? I hope they didn't do too much damage to your plants.

Actually I think they helped the plants. The water I was putting on them was just a drop in a bucket compared to the rain. They are gigantic now. Dooley

A big difference Dooley, everything looks great. We have the same problem with the rain. Certain parts of our yard hold water and I have lost a lot of plants due to poor drainage.

I like the flowers better than the dirt pile. Did you remove the whole pile or did your neighbor help?

The neighbor came back and leveled it out after the junkman came and moved that old ice cream truck. When we moved here four years ago there were three junk cars and that old ice cream truck back there. Gradually we got rid of them. It is still messy because we trimmed a tree on the property line and the branches are still being cut for the dumpster. Dooley
