    Hi guys,

I live in montreal and the snow is on its way.

I have a raised bed with mint and sage in it.

I'm not too worried about the mint.

But not sure if the sage will come back next year.

Should i protect it with a polystyrene cover?

    thanks for the advice

The box should work, a carboard box covered with towels or sheets works too. Be sure to water the plant before the ground freezes, the ice will insulate the roots from further damage as the temps drop below freezing and gives the plants moisture to live on as well.

    ok thanks toni.

I would never have thought to water the plant at this time of year.

Snow is also an excellent insulator Dan. Try to keep some snow piled around your Sage cover too :)
