It rained a bit last night, and today has been rainy off and on. So far we have 1 3/4" of lovely rain, and PUDDLES! I love sloshing through puddles on the way to the barn, seeing the hens watch their reflections in puddles (My, isn't that a lovely lady, I wonder who she is?), and our cat Feliz slink around hunting for a spot under the bed to hide from thunder (everyone knows thunder doesn't see you under a bed). We needed rain so badly, and this is the perfect rain for us--slow and steady. Think I'll go slosh about in a puddle or two! :-D
I love rain puddles too. When I was a kid, every time it rained I would be out "singin' and dancin' in the rain".
I wonder what it is about puddles? I'm 62 and still love to jump in them too and doubt I'll ever change. I do get some strange looks but who cares. If you're ever short of rain give me a shout as we always have plenty over here.
Hooray for your rain and puddles!! We too have had little rain lately. It rained hard yesterday and there are puddles out at the shop and mud too!! It's weird though, I was so happy to have the thundershower yesterday, but it made me think of my mom out in CO. and how their puddles got way, way out of control!!
We had lots of rain today. I think it was about three inches when I last looked. That's almost as much as we got all summer. But, no puddles. It's all gone into the ground. Now, the weeds will double in size by tomorrow. dooley
