I found this very pretty flower in the wild. I have never seen anything like this before and this was the only one around. Any chance anyone might know what it is and if it can be obtained and grown in a pot or flowerbed?
    Thanks :-D

Do you have a photograph of the flower by any chance CaSondra as it would really help us ID it for you? Please don't dig up the flower from the wild as it is actually against the law to do so. If you domanage to get an ID for the flower then maybe you can purchase one from a garden centre that sells native wild flowers.

Was it a vine, shrub, individual flower stem?

I think you found American bells, Clematis crispa.

I agree with Droopy's ID. They will probably be very hard to transplant. I think Eileen's suggestion is the best. I see it growing wild all over and would love to find one in a nursery too.
