I need help with the name of some plants in my yard. I live on the MS Gulf Coast. They are approx. 3 ft tall, purple/green leaves all the way up and purple flowers each morning. By the end of the day they fall off and the next day there are new blooms. I think maybe some type of morning glory but not quite the same.
    Thanks!!

    Hi Kathy,
I have a couple of suggestions about what your plant could be but without a picture it will be hard to know for sure.
From what you describe, it could be a Mexican Petunia. Mine do not have purple/green leaves but yours could be getting more sun which would make the leafs darker.

Any chance of a picture to make sure?

Yea, glad I was able to give you a name for your plant.

Hope you will hang around now that you have found us and post an introduction of yourself in the Welcome to GardenStew forum so we can all get to know you.
