I hurt my back in April and haven't been able to do too much in my gardens. Well today was the day ... my back felt good, the kids were busy, and I had a collection of plants that needed planting. I really wanted to do a lot but decided that I'd better be very careful. The first thing I did was extend my front Hosta bed and prepare it for the "Empress Wu". I had to remove some sod, loosen the soil and then I added some compost and horse manure. It turned out well I think. The new part is on the left.

I had another Hosta that needed moving so I filled in another Hosta bed. This one was new last fall so they are still small.

My back still felt good so I got another garden weeded

I'll do some more work in the garden tomorrow if my back will allow it. :stew1:

Netty please don't do too much even if your back is feeling much better. I must admit though that you've achieved a good bit today. Your hosta beds look fantastic and that 'volunteer' poppy is s real beauty. You have so many lovely plants flowering in your garden - needless to say my favourite is your delphium 'cause it's blue and white. :-D

Thanks Eileen. I'm being very careful ... I don't want a setback. I did the hard stuff today and feel like I could do more but I won't do anything else until I see how I feel tomorrow. Hopefully I can weed a few more gardens tomorrow. :)

Well Netty, it seems that your flowers have been doing quite well since you have been injured.
They all look quite good. The scabiosa and daisy are looking particularly delightful.
The gardens are looking quite nice as well.

Well done, you--just take it easy though.

I didn't know you hurt your back -- I'm glad you were feeling so good today! Treat it tenderly now!!

All the flowers are pretty!!! So many different colors at the same time. The scabiosa blue is perfection. I love seeing the whole garden pics too. And that gorgeous green grass -- we're so dry here, my grass is going brown.

What a lovely place you live in, Netty!

    Thank you Daisybeans!
I've been seeing a Chiropractor twice a week since the beginning of May which has helped a LOT! This is the first week with one visit.
We have had heavy rains which is why the grass is so green :)

Glad to hear that your back is better, but do be careful! I have suffered "gardener's bad back" for a few years now. I have to know my limits!
Your gardens and flowers are just beautiful! :stew1:
