Again it is a poor showing considering I planted 2 dozen of them and only 5 have bloomed  But they are pretty, only half the size of the Red one that bloomed....one out of the 40 I planted.

I've still got more snow than ground showing so I'll take any flowers anyone will post. It keeps me going. Thanks for sharing Toni. Such a nice photo. Keeps me hopefull that I too will soon have flowers blooming.

Your tulips are lovely. :) I'm so sorry so few of them manage to bloom for you, though. I saw the leaves of mine before this last snowfall, but won't have flowers for another couple of months.

That is amazing - the color is stunning. Pity about so few of them blooming. Sorry to hear about that.

I have that one also. One of my favorites. Nice pics. :) I just see the leaves of crocus and early daffs peeking up. I should have snowdrops in a day or so.

Those are lovely Toni. Queen of the Night are one of my favorites.
Do you think that something has dug up your bulbs? I hope you get more blooms.

Netty, the bulbs are there and have sent up lots of healthy green leaves. Some have even attempted to send up flower stems but the bud at the top has been empty, some just haven't even bothered with the stems and just have lots of leaves. :'( And I was so looking forward to a riot of red and black tulips this spring.

Toni, maybe they need a year to get acclimated. Hopefully next year you'll have a magnificent showing!
I sure hope mine do better this year than they did last year. I think all the snow and cold we had may help the spring blossoms :stew2:

Those tulips look gorgeous! Thanks for showing them. I sure hope that more come up. How odd that more of the red ones didn't chow their faces.
    Fingers crossed.
