I have a soil test report that says I need a fertilizer with a 4:1:4 ratio. Would that be like a 16:8:16 fertilizer? Or am I off?

Im doing this report for my Professional Landscaping classes. Not having much luck with figuring this stuff out haha

    With a ratio of 4 Nitrogen 1 Phosphate and 4 Potash = 8:2:8 or 16:4:16.

Note that the ratio has to remain constant, i.e

5 lbs. nitrogen to 1.25 lbs of phosphate to 5 lbs of potash.

20 lbs. nitrogen to 5 lbs of phosphate to 20 lbs of potash.

2 lbs. nitrogen to .5 lbs of phosphate to 2 lbs of potash.

The bag would contain 4% nitrogen 1% phosphate and 4% potash

The bag would contain 8% nitrogen 2% phosphate and 8% potash

The bag would contain 16% nitrogen 4% phosphate and 16% potash
