I found yet another wayward Morning Glory. I dont think its one of mine because of where its at. It looks to have been mowed repeatly. Its very bushy with no long vines on it. Its currently in the ground in the back yard where the "jungle" is growing. I cleared the tall brush away and staked it and its started to climb up the stake. Now can I safely dig it up and move it? Or will it die? I would like to move it to where I can watch it grow and bloom.
Gosh Denee, that's a tough one. As hot as it is now I would say no. MG's do not transplant out of the ground eaisly during the best of conditions. I tried doing a moonflower vine about a month ago, put it in a newly enriched place, mulched it really good, watered it every day and it did not make it. I would try leaving it where it is, let it bloom and if it is something you want next year collect some seeds.
