Is everyone on holidays in August? I ask because I notice a lower level of US traffic to the site these days.

Oh I forgot it's back to school time. I'm sure they have much more important things to contend with ;) Thanks Flowie.

Back to school, last minute visitors for the summer, all these things. And I'm taking a real estate class right now, so more study, less online time. But, it will soon be done.

I'm not on holiday, but wish I were. We had a couple of cooler days with low humidity so I have been getting some things done in the yard. Fri. evening the Legion Post I belong to is having a hog roast so I was in there this afternoon making 60 pounds of cole slaw for it. All the pulled pork BarBQ , slaw and baked beans you can eat for $8. per person. We are expecting about 300 people!

We never go on vacation!! My husband is on call at work all the time so we can't get far from home just in case of an emergency at the power plant!! But this time of year is always sooooo busy trying to get ready to start school up again!! Plus all the HOT temps tend to make us a little lazier!!Yummy Capt.!!!I wish I lived in Ohio and was a member of your Legion!!!LOL!

Lots of folks out camping or traveling, as already noted. I know for me it's the "oh no, only a three weeks until school!" panic setting in so we're all putting in more hours trying to get our school ready for the teachers and students before it opens up again. I working on painting the parking-lot now, in between cleaning up the planters for fall planting.

School starts here on Monday. I don't get here near as much as I'd like now. I think Pinkiered has been busy with her moving and getting her plants situated again. It's just been so hot and humid too. Dooley

Busy like everyone else. School started back yesterday here. Sky is getting dark and it's thundering -- maybe we are going to get some rain. Some place is gettting it. May have to jump off here with the thunder and lightening.

College for Amanda starts at the end of August. Public school starts here next Monday, very glad I am not part of that anymore.

I have been thinking that last minute vacations before the start of school is the reason posts on the rEcycleDFW list I own is way down too. Not that I mind the quiet on that list, haven't had anyone arguing the list rules with me in a couple of weeks.

My plans got messed up because Ron's work depends on him so badly. This was supposed to be our holiday together. When he does get his holiday I will be much too busy with my business to spend any time time with him. Meanwhile, this week I've only booked half days for myself. So it is a half holiday.
Why don't we start to post photos of all the places we'd take a visitor in our section of the universe? I'd love to see where everyone lives. It could be a nic substitute for a real holiday and the best I can expect at the moment.

muddybob I like your idea of post pictures of places to visit in our areas. I'll have to see what I can come up with.
