We all know that Ladybugs eat Aphids, but what else do Ladybugs eat in our gardens that helps our gardens prosper?

How many mites might a ladybug eat if a ladybug might eat mites? Besides a voracious appetite for aphids lady bugs also eat spider mites, mealybugs, eggs of potato beetles and corn borer. Yummy!! No wonder my rose bush is doing so well!

Ladybirds/bugs eat a variety of different things apart from the usual aphids. These include the eggs of some beetles such as potato beetles, mites - especially spider mites, ripe fruits, nectar, pollen, corn borers, mildew, mealy bugs and scale insects.

Altogether they're a real boon for any gardener and I certainly would love to have more in my garden. :-D

Ladybugs can eat 40 aphids in an hour! They can also eat bean thrips, beetle grubs, scales, spider mites, whiteflies and most soft body larvae. Basically, they are good guys that eat the bad guys. Invite them into your yards with welcome arms!
