Ok being that my grand children live almost two hours away I am taking advantage of a slow weekend and am gonna be away until Sunday evening! I will not have computer access so enjoy your weekend and ponder the following:

    1. In the process of photosynthesis, water and carbon dioxide are converted into what primary products? (a) proteins, (b) acids, or (c) carbohydrates (sugars)?

    2. True or false — A nice loamy garden soil is made up of near equal parts of sand, silt, and clay.

    3. If a soil test report indicates that more calcium is needed in the soil, which of the following should be added to supply this element? (a) lime, (b) peat moss, or (c) MiracleGro?

Again hope you all have a great weekend! I will miss ya! :stew2: :stew1:

Into organic compounds.......sugars...... so 'C' fits.

Looking at the clay, silt, sand triangle perhaps nice fits in the middle. So all parts are equal. True.

Millions of years ago sea creatures by the millions perhaps billions built their homes(shells) using minerals from ocean water, as they died they settled to the ocean floor. Stratification of the seafloor produced large deposits of calcium carbonate. Today what was once a seafloor is high and dry due to plate tectonics. Those calcium deposits are mined and now supply the active ingredient in agricultural lime.
