    I remember posting this sometime this morning but it did not show up! HMMMMMM the Internet gremlins are wreaking havoc!

    Ok here we go again!

    A plant in central Australia only grows a flower once every 7 years, can you name this plant?

    Could be the Corpse plant or a type of Bamboo. Now which will it be. I bet it's the Corpse plant. Just the name sounds Yucky not to mention how the flower smells. :eek:

    'Candlesticks of the Sun' is a plant from central Australia that grows a candle-shaped flower only once in every seven years.

    While the internet references 'candlesticks of the sun' as the plant to flower once every seven year,s the Australian government common name only references one native flower with the common name 'candlestick': Banksia spinulosa but the flower sequence is not exceptional.
