The woman's tongue of Zanzibar is a plant with pods full of seeds which rattle continuously. Let's see how many of you can find a picture of this plant!
Spoiler Woman's Tongue of Zanzibar/Albizia-Lebbeck. English names for it include Lebbeck, Lebbek Tree, Flea Tree, Frywood, Koko and Woman's tongues Tree. The latter name is a play on the sound the seeds make as they rattle inside the pods. Being one of the most widespread and common species of Albizia worldwide, it is often simply called "siris" though this name may refer to any locally common member of the genus.
I dont know, but it kinda resembles my mimosa trees... ? I have them all over. I did try to find pictures of yours earlier, but they were all so blurry I couldnt quite make them out.
Albizia lebbeck......interesting....They grow in California, Texas and Florida, someone has to have one in their back yard. Unless it makes too much noise. ?? There are tons of Albizia lebbeck pictures on line except they are not mine :-( Public Domain pix will not load as I still don't own them.:-( I will be in Texas in November, I'll find a tree!! Jerry
