We needed rain thought was going to go around us. Got just little hail. But will stake flowers.Glad no house damage Some places close-not so lucky. Dh And DS looking if any trees out back will take our power.

Will hear chain saws for a while. More I look more things broke gutters, fence tree limbs, Could have been lot worse. Thought 2 very large old trees going down. But got gas for generator. Lot of flower container and feeders.Guy all ready checking shingles. Water on one room floor-brand new roof. Not sure how much rain we got.

Why is that when you really need rain... it brings unwelcomed guest like strong winds and hail????
Hope there's no serious damage.... but then again... isn't any damage serious?? :'(

They are checking our LP tank the bird house on big pole. Put a ding in it. Like to have them move it to other side of house. In 98 had big ash tree land on it. I hear chain saws all ready. Go pick up sticks

Koszta,Sorry to hear of your damage.Glad your home is still standing. Hope you can salvage your bird feeders & plants.I've been afraid of a storm like this. I was scared. Called HB to come home.I could hear tornado sirens 6 miles away in Iowa City.Luckily it blew around. Did get about inch of rain.If we get a strong wind I know we will lose tall Spruce in side yard.Maybe 1 or 2 more. The twin to the one blew over about 3 years ago. Didn't hit a thing.

When it came through here, we had a wall of wind come through. Lost big limbs out of 7 locust trees. One landed on the wood shed and damaged the corner of it. Got a blue tarp on it now. Will repair it this fall when it is cooler. Columbus has about 200,000 people with out power and the temps are reaching the mid 90's.

The more we look find more damage. Storm door ripped the house. And roof. and gutters. But lucky compared to some Lot of barns and corn cribs. Trees that went down was not near house or power lines.Glad I called light company about neighbor's tree above lights. He moved away 3 years ago next months.Last fall one of his limbs came down-ripped our meter out of house (we) had to pay $500.
