Come on peeps, I need you all to do a rain dance for us here in Essex and the surrounds. The ground is so dry, although we had a light shower yesterday morning, it barely wet the surface. Sjoerd, you asked if I might get to the plot this weekend....maybe briefly on Sunday as I need to get some more netting up to protect the brassicas and to pick any ripe strawbs. The weather men keep tempting us with rain, but nothing. Of course, on Tuesday when we are at Longleat Safari park it will probably pour with rain and all of the animals will hide. Rain rain rain rain rain rain rain rain rain rain
EJ I wish I could help you out but we are bone dry here too and not much certain in the forecast for 7-10 days just a bunch of maybes. I am watering everything daily just trying to keep caught up, never mind getting ahead.
According to the maps, we may get some light rain tomorrow, then a little more later next week, but then the wind will change at that will be that.
I'm going to take my shoes off and dress-up in birds' feathers....I will then go to the Amsterdam Musical Conservatorium for one drummer and a flautist. I myself will be in charge os the rattles and shakers....let the music begin. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZOykUCGr ... re=related
We haven't had quite enough for everything, but some, and I would gladly share with all of you who need it... I'll send it on...
I sure hope you get rain. I washed my f-i-l's car yesterday for his birthday party festivities and was supposed to be sun all day long,,,it rained, twice! Advice: Go was your car, your husbands car, your neighbors car,,,,,lol. just kidding, but i sure hope you get rain soon.
Nothing! Hmmm...tomorrow I will get washing on the line, get the kids to wash the cars and water the pots. It is bound to rain then.
Like you Emma we are bone dry here. Had a little rain a couple of days ago but nothing to make any difference. Take heart though the forecast for tomorrow is for quite a lot of rain coming from the west so hopefully we will all get a soaking.
