Absolutely beautiful photos. I wouldn't mind sitting next to Molly right now. I really love the river shots.
Nice shots! I wonder if your unknown white bloom belongs to a white valerian? Valeriana officinalis (Valerian)
Hi Toni,..along the river is very nice just now,..soooo green and everything in bloom so i tend to just ignore the rain,..i can dry off when i get home. ------------------------------------------------------ Hi Netty,..oh that looks very similar,..in fact like an exact image,..i must get a better picture next time to be certain,..thanks for that link,..it really places me on the correct track.
We've not had much rain over here for the last week (I know - really strange for Scotland.) We're supposed to get the weather you had today tomorrow morning. The garden certainly needs it at the moment but I just hope it doesn't stay around for too long. I do like to see raindrops of foliage and flowers though as it makes for some really special photographs like yours.
Hi Eileen, i was weather watching and did notice our rain clouds are heading in your direction,..at least if its needed you wont mind,..but get the camera at the ready, .
Awesome set of photos (again). My favorites have to be the Day Lily and the Love-in-the-mist. BUT those river shots are very special... you really captured the "misty" day!
I would definitely have a silly grin on my face, much like the one on Molly's face. And yep, you can dry off when you get home, rain is for enjoying to the fullest.
Rain on your flowers is beautiful. Great shots on all of them. Did Molly take you pic for you, by the way?
Hi Frank, you will always remember those misty mornings,..and days for that matter,..with an average rainfall of 2 inches per month,..how can they be talking about a shortage of tap water?. ----------------------------------------------------- Hi Droopy, i think our weather heads across the water to Scotland then over to Sjoerd and then towards you,..and despite a slowdown in rain fall today,..more to come, . ----------------------------------------------------- Hi Carolyn, oh that picture was taken with the timer at 30 seconds,..i gave up trying to teach Molly,..always had the wrong setting, .
Philipall of your blooms are all so wonderful.thanks for all of them.I like to wonder around the yard while it drizzles along or just rains on down.
Philip, Your walk in the misty rain looks mighty refeshing to me! Looks as though your pretty flowers are loving it! Molly looks so silly and happy to be all sloppy wet
Hi Cheryl, that little Day Lily is blooming like mad at present,..it was given to me by a neighbor who claimed it wouldn't flower for him,..the Love-In-The-Mist keep popping up all around the garden,..and they are very welcome. ----------------------------------------------------- Hi Netty, the more i study that "unsure" plant the more difficult it becomes,..its a split between "Valerian",.."Angelica sylvestris",..and "Hemlock",..and there is another i spotted mentioned here in the GardenStew,..i may be wrong,.."St Anne's Lace",..seems to ring a bell. ---------------------------------------------------- Hi Kay, the mist was so fine you would think it was smoke,..but very wetting,..on days like that i can be sure not to meet anyone on my walk,..Molly was described as "Goofy Molly",..she certainly displays being happy. ---------------------------------------------------- Hi Glenda, there is a certain feeling one gets when out and about in the mist or rain,..in particular if you don't mind getting wet,..almost enjoyable. ------------------------------------------------------
