Finally it's arrived and I know that the traffic will be a mess and hopefully there won't be any mudslides in the areas that had the recent brush fires, but the rain is welcome. My garden looks different and seems to be breathing a "sigh of relief". After some rain and more to come! ( photo / image / picture from sespegal's Garden )
Wish I could parcel up some of our Scottish rain for you as we have more than enough here!! Your garden certainly is benefitting from the good watering it got. :-D
Thanks to all of your for you sweet comments. The rain is gone today and although I can't see the mountains from here, there is snow at the higher elevations. I am guessing that the Sespe has been dumped upon. But more rain is on the way.
i was waiting for months for some cool rain during summer. it never happened! very few showers, no real rain! as fall came, so did the rains. for a couple of weeks it's all we had! i hope next year will be different, otherwise i'll have to give up gardening. or at least, ask some of you to send me some cacti, aloes, agaves...
The sun is out! The rain has stopped now and as I'm writing this, the sun is out and the skies are clear. It's warmed up a bit and the perdiction for this week is for the temps to be in the low 70's by the weekend. That's California for you! My plan is that sometime this week if not the weekend, I will finally get the rest of my plants put into the ground but I'll have to let it dry out a bit so that it's not so muddy. :-D
