Picked two five gallon buckets of purple hull peas this morning. Then shortly after noon,,, rain ,,,Its almost July. That is unheard of in Texas this time of year. I have been watering but now everything should perk up. Looks like the garden is going to be good for a while longer.
How nice to hear, mart. I'd love to send you some of our rain, but I don't think the mail will carry it.
There is rain down in southeast Texas too....but sadly I am not in east or southeast Texas Did you get the rainy June of 2004? We got over 10 inches that month, wish we could repeat that one.
I'd love to send some rain down for you! We've had tons and we are getting a thunderstorm any second ...
Rain in Texas. Droopy and Netty,,wait till about August, I will take you up on the offer if possible. Toni,, we had a rainy June but not as much as yours. Ours was a little over 7 inches all together I think. Cherylad, I will keep my fingers crossed for your bar-b-que. Hope you have a great time.
It rained in Madisonville, too. It's still dark and cloudy. Hopefully it won't rain Friday and Saturday. But, it's not 100 degs today so that's helpful. dooley
We got rain here in South Central Texas. I started here about 10:am.It sure is nice and cool out side now as compared to 106 temp.
Dry as a bone here in Essex again. I heard on the radio that if the North West of England don't get substantial rain over the next week, they are going to have a hosepipe ban, the first in 40 years. Everywhere is very dry, altho thunderstorms are forecast for Sunday...but Sunday is a long way away, anything could happen.
Glad we all got needed showers. Sorry EJ, I will keep my fingers crossed for you. Looks like I will be picking peas and okra for a long time.
