Needless to say all of the grass didn't get cut. It started raining, hard, and has rained off and on all day so far. We needed it. It takes a long time for land to recover from a severe drought.

it is now raining here in New Orleans. A nice easy rain, not those gullywashers that we usually get. Aaaahhhhhh, how wonderful.

We had a few light showers this afternoon, but now has gotten a little heavier. There is a cold front coming in behind it. They say temps 20 deg. colder than normal. Lows in the 30's and 40's. I guess fall is here!

Due to the rain I was in the church all day staining doors and installing light fixtures. Afriend of ours was helping so it was too bad.

The only bad thing about rainy weather is Lucky doesn't like the boom booms, (thunder). She is deathly afraid of it and so is Charity and Nibbler. Basil slept right through it.

Got some rain here today too, but not for very long. Could have used a nice all day long rain. The cotton farmers are not fairing well this year because of lack of rain.

Marlene, do you live near Huntsville. There's a daylily farm there, Beulah's. It has some awesome daylilies. You can check it out on google.

Have you ever been to Beulah's. I wonder if the daylilies are really as pretty as on the web. LOL I would love to see all those in bloom. What an awesome site. I missed going to the local farms this year.

Well here in sunny Essex, it is sunny! A gorgeous day, light breeze, but hardly a cloud in the sky!

The weather here is much the same as EJ's - sunny and warm with a light breeze. Such a change from yesterday when it rained non stop and we had gale force winds!!
