We spent most of today running errands in sometimes a steady drizzle and sometimes a heavy downpour. The last 45 minutes coming home was in rain so heavy the windshield wipers couldn't keep up with it. My really large rain gauge out back has almost 2.5 inches in it and it is still raining. Then cold....we got home a little after 5 the temp was in the 60's and the rain made it feel really muggy. Amanda got ready to go to the grocery store and out for supper with us, less than 30 minutes after we got home we opened the door to find it was still raining but the temp had dropped 20 degrees and there was a stiff wind from the north. Tonight it is supposed to be still raining when the temp drops down to below freezing and hovering not much higher for almost three days. We have food, not just ingredients so we are set to stay in the house for the duration.
Sounds like the place to be Toni. I don't think we are going to get quite as cold, 30 degress Thursday night. Our rain hasn't started yet but it is on the way. Hopefully we will miss the worst of it.
It's been raining here all night and all morning. I got up at 6 am and the temp was 51 now at 10 am it's down to 38 with a northeast wind. It looks like the rain will be past us by noon, so maybe it will be gone before the really cold air gets here!
