I just love when I see the creative uses people make of things that would otherwise be thrown away!

This is not a refrigerator anymore. It's not plugged in anymore. It's an insulated box, that's been upscaled and repurposed with a wood exterior, so now it's a giant COOLER! Fill it with ice and drinks.... best pool party accessory EVER!

Now THAT's a great idea. Even if the fridge wasn't completely inoperable... just not staying super cool... that would be awesome to have. Hmmm....

Oh, darn. We had a small fridge go out on us a couple of years ago and I did save the main part and am using it as a planter out in the backyard but put the door out on the curb for the scrap metal guy to take. When the one we have now goes out I think I want the look of that one but will use it to hold potting soil instead of keeping drinks cool since we don't party outside.

That's a really neat recycling idea but a little large unless you had a large get togethers fairly regular.

This is a brilliant idea. Who does not need a large storage box if not for keeping things cool? Moreover, it can be a nice utility table. Who does not love 'horizontal spaces'?

Because it's extremely well insulated it would make a perfect cooler, but that doesn't mean you can't use it for something else.

Honestly, when I saw the re-purposing idea, the very first thing I thought of was storage for houseplant/container gardening stuff....potting soil in the one compartment, and needed tools and accessories in the other.

Or storage for the grilling/serving stuff you need when you BBQ

Or a place for the patio furniture chair cushions and other outside stuff when it's raining or seasonally.

Or storage for the kids/grandkids outside play toys like water pistols and buckets and stuff.

It would just be handy for so many things! :sete_056:

Make a mini version out of a dorm fridge.
