Hello all, I'm a container gardener. My husband is the landscaper. I'm always looking for ways to keep my containers watered when we are away. We have several glass globe humming bird feeders that leak so we decided to turn them into plant waterers. We inserted a hard straw into the stopper and stuck it inside the container. I used a large pencil to make the hole so it wouldn't stop up the straw. It works like those aqua globes they advertise on tv. Give it a try. The Tea Garden Lady
