We are ready for our mulch delivery. After they deliver it we will cover it with another tarp and begin to spread it out this week. The beginning of getting ready for the garden tour in our county. We have 10 weeks to get it all together. We have been so busy these last few months, I can't even do any canning. mulch1.jpg

Oh but gardening is so much fun, and your gardens are going to look amazing! Once the tour is over there will be lots of time for canning. I'd love for you to show your gardens when they are all mulched :)

mulch2.jpg mulch3.jpg Wow, was that quick..... The tarp underneath usually works but where we put it was a little too much of a hill and the ground was a little too soft so it got dumped right onto the ground. We did cover it to keep it dry. That makes it too heavy if it rains... Now the work begins.

Netty, I will put pictures up when we are all done.

Jewel, It is frustrating. I never never get all my things done on my daily lists. By the end of the day I am completely dead. That's why I can't post so much lately on my favorite place to be although I must admit I like the old format better.

Hopefully you can get some help to spread it around....I was moving some bulbs and iris yesterday and the flower beds were so wet. Not sure why they keep saying we are way behind in rain totals. It doesn't look that way where I am digging.
It looks like a nice load of mulch, some of the stuff they deliver around here gets too large. Have fun...

Hubby digs it up and puts it into the trailer on the tractor and dumps it near each garden, and I spread it out. Our gardens sprawl out over two and half acres. We will need a second load of mulch before we are done.

Donna S, this is over 50 cubic yards. The guys over fills the truck just for me. After all, When someone touring the gardens asks me where I get my mulch, it would behoove him to make me like him. I think i will put a little sign up with his info on it.

Donna, come'on up. You can't be more than 8 hours from me...LOL

That's a lot of mulch. We put down at least 10 yards and I thought that was a lot.

That really is a lot of mulch. It's been awhile since I've done that kind of yardwork.my back couldn't handle it.
