Recycle Tip

    Here is a great idea and a way to recycle 2 liter plastic pop bottles.
    I cut of the bottom and get a plant pot the same size (diameter)as the plastic bottle and use the pop bottle as a mini green house. It works quite well and can even be used in the garden as well. I have used them on tomato and green pepper plants. Using them lets you plant outdoors earlier without worrying to much if it gets cool in the evening. Keep the pop bottle top on during the evening and remove it during the heat of the day.

    I've heard about doing this, but we don't personally buy those sized bottles. It's a great tip, tho...

    I've used plastic water bottles (same size as the pop bottles you mention) as mini greenhouses and also for burning off bindweed that invaded our garden from a neighbours property. They can also be used as bird feeders. I enjoy recycling things for the garden. :stew2:
