Red berries?

    Along the driveway I have some small trees 3 to 4 ft. tall. This fall they have gotten red berries on them. I have never noticed them having the berries before. I don't know if birds eat them or not, but they haven so far.Each cluster is on it's own stem and when the hull opens up there are 3 to 4 berries or seeds in each one. The leaves are all gone so couldn't get a pick of those. Here are the berries.

    I think it might be some sort of Euonymus, Capt. Our neighbour had a couple of those but she removed them because they had an aphid invasion a couple of years ago. As if the trees could help it. :(
