Here is another live cam set-up this time outside and inside red fox burrows.
The foxes have paired and will deliver cubs at some point. Once that happens,it will be lots of fun watching the cubs and their antics.
Right at this moment there are two foxes outside the burrows.
You may enjoy looking at these from time to time.

In the black square where there are small images of what the camera sees, you can klik on the most right button to get a large screen and then on your keyboard klik on ESC to make the screen small again.

Wouldn't it be great if we could see the cubs being born?!! I'm certainly going to be 'bug eyed' with this webcam. Many thanks Sjeord for posting the link for us. :stew2:

Fantastic Sjoerd, It will get very interesting when the cubs are born. I once knew a person with a fox den in his back yard. the cubs provided hours of entertainment monitored by the mother fox.

EILEEN--Oh, it sure would be, Eileen. You are welcome...I shall be watching it too often. I have already seeen foxes inside the burrow and outside. It is a real pleasure.

Thanks JERRY--It sure will be interesting when the cubs are born. I find these animals very interestiong to observe. I once had the opportunity to observe some arctic foxes in the wild and every free day that I had, I would go out and watch them. They were so wild that they were not afraid of me, if you know what I mean.
Their den was in a pingo and easily accessable for me.
I sometimes took a lunch with a thermos and would sit for hours and just watch and take fotos.

That's a neat little webcam... I liked the video that showed (in Dutch but I got the drift) how the den is laid out. So the den is man-made, I take it? In the little video, did they say how they got the foxes to start using the den? Thanks -- that will be fun to watch.

Well, there has been lots going on at the fox dens today. I have seen them sleeping (two in a den) and then suddenly there came a wild horse...then more, and the foxes woke up from the sound of the hooves on the earth, I assume.
They came out of the den and sat and watched the horses...went off, came back and went back inside to sleep some more.
I have seen a small body of water behind the den hill and also ducks and geese that come waddling by from time to time.

You are welcome, GAIL-- I am glad that you like it. I see alot happerning there, but it is from time to time. All kinds of things.

DAISY--I am pleased that you liked the fox site. That was clever of you to check-out on your own. You understood the essence of what the men were explaining. They did not say if they used any sort of technique to attract the foxes to the man-made den. They did say that there were lots of foxes on in the protected area (Staatsbosbeheer) though, so perhaps it isn't odd that a couple did select the den.
I do hope that you will enjoy watching the web cam from time to time.
