I love my geraniums. I tried to adjust the color to as dark as the flower really is, I think I came close
Yeah, it is 5 inches across and roughly 4 inches tall. that is the largest one so far but there are 4 more almost that size.
Wow that is big. Do they always grow that size and is it annual or perennial? Post the other ones too please.
I can't find the label to tell you what variety they are, so I will just HAVE to make a trip to Calloways Nursery to get that info for you now won't I. :-D I have two plants in that pot every year and they always have some blooms that large. They are annuals for me. Even if the pot wasn't too heavy to move inside before winter, by about mid fall they are showing their age anyway. This is the other large one, a bit more sun when I took it and I didn't color correct quite enough. Put picture the color of the first one on this one too. The whole pot, two plants.
I love red geraniums. I don't care much for pink or white ones. Last fall I bought 6 from WalMart on closeout and kept them over. I have them outside now, but no buds yet. Dooley
Quite the lookers ain't they. A computer monitor can never do justice to true colour. Thanks for posting these Toni
Are those beauties in a pot out in front of your house? Bet they grab lots of attention from passers-by.
Oh Toni I love them! I like the red,red ones. The darker the better. It would be interesting to find out their names so I can look for the same ones when the nurseries open. They have so many different names! Red Rocket, Red Orbit the list goes on... I saw a photo of a pot planted with red geraniums in the center and blue and white lobelia trailing over the sides. I am going to copy that idea for my picnic table for the Fourth of July! Awesome photos! Deanna :-D
geraniums are my fav! those are really nice,,mine are a bit sad and dying for a nice day to go outside.
Very nice Toni. I have never liked geraniums because they remind me of the cemetery. My mother always planted them on my fathers and grandparents graves. Yours are very pretty though.
