"Red sky at morning, sailors take warning." It is part of an adage I recall from childhood. I remember learning that a red sunrise was a good indicator of approaching stormy weather . . . Not that I'm asking for anything severe, especially having just read CritterPainter's accounts of the dreadful flooding out in the northwest U.S. But I admit to having been hopeful of getting at least a little rain when I woke to find my room bathed in pink light, and looked out to see this brilliant sky - a few minutes later - already turning from red to gold. It is now past midday, and our record-breaking drought continues. Still, :-D it was a sensational sunrise, even screened by all of the thirsty trees.
Wow, zuzu,, that is amazing,, it looks like the sky is on fire. absolutly stunning!!! Thank you for the view.
I agree with Biita, it looks like a fire up there. Very dramatic and absolutely gorgeous. We've also got that saying, but in Norwegian of course.
Those are great photos, I just love the sunrises. I think generally speaking, that sun rises can be more dramatic than sunsets. I find that to be so of the ones that I have photographed. Tom
Sunrise and sunsets are my favorite nature scenes. Just another of God's beautiful work. This is just breath taking. Thank you for sharing with us.
Mary's right - my fingers are itching to snitch your photographs Zuzu. Can I pinch them for my collection please? :-D
Thanks everyone , it was just so pretty, much nicer than the photos show, yep , Sharon, only some rain could have made it better. Eileen, my friend :-D you are always welcome to anything I post.
What a rich colour, miss petals. Thanks for those pics! I was going to mention our version of that saying, but it's quite late over here, and it's a bit involved. heh heh heh. The colours are so dramatic, it almost looks like a fire's raging behind that tree.
Oh my What glorious color. It does resemble a fire. The rich red and gold looks great. Thanks for sharing your piccies.
