I went to the grocery this morning, and spoke to a few friends at an appropriate distance. They, or loved ones, are afraid. The virus has spread fear as well as sickness. Now, about refuge. After hearing the stories of fear and dread, I come to the Stew as a refuge. Talking about plants, joking about pets, and seeing photos of birds, flowers, and butterflies, reminds one that there is life, good life, going on. This site is a refuge.
Yes, indeed it is a refuge here! As is my perennial garden and my community garden plot. Refreshing and uplifting.
Other than wearing the masks and sanitizing hands more than normal,,little has changed here ! But,, I think designer masks would be the next big seller !
Mart. there is a post on another forum with Dallas Cowboys masks. If you wear one, you won't catch anything! (This is an inside Texas joke--sorry, but I couldn't resist!)
I couldn't agree more MG! And my garden is my refuge too. I have been SO grateful through all of this that I have a few acres to call my own. No worries about social distancing here!
