We've been having some fun with the countdown thread. But, I think the cat's out of the bag. dr and I will be relocating to Texas in the next few weeks. We will be doing our fishing in the Trinity River. We will be moving within a stone's throw of Glenda. I told her she had better not be throwing any stones though or she's pay for the windows. dooley

Ahhh I was wondering about you handing in your notice and saying you were packing up. It's going to be hard work relocating to Texas but it's also going to be exciting for you. Glenda must be over the moon. I hope, when the time comes, you love your new home and that everything goes smoothly for you. :-D

I am so thrilled and have been for sometime.I think they will like it here. They will have a big front and back yard.We plan on sitting and ronking on the front porch as it is completely across the front of the house. There is a small deck on the back. The yard is beautiful. They will have a huge garden spot.I will be so glad to have them near .I promised dooley I wouldn't throw any rocks her way as she may throw back :)

I'm glad the cat is out of the bag. I was afraid I'd slip and say the wrong thing. I am looking at maps to see how many miles it is and if I would be able to drive for a visit. Wannabe

I'm glad you finally came out and told us about it. I suspected from the count-down-thread, so I'm not surprised. I think it sounds delightful! :D

I have to ask, did you know each other before you met on the Stew?

We did not know each other before the Stew. We first met when we went to Texas the end of May. But, we had talked to each other frequently and pm most every day. It felt like we knew each other. But, we have been wanting to leave Arizona for quite a while. The altitude here is wrong and at a lower altitude it is just to dusty and dry. For a lot of reasons we decided to relocate. We just happened to like it near where Glenda lives and it was a bonus that she found us a place. We were trying to do it over the internet. dooley

Congrats on the new home with lots of room for gardening. The actual act of moving is a real pain, that's why we have been in this house for over 21 years.

Could one of you post pictures of the house? A full length covered front porch, what a treat.

Okay, I found a picture that Glenda sent to us. This shows the front yard from the circular drive, not all of the yard though.

The patio goes all across the front. Glenda thinks we should close a part of it. dr thinks maybe with some lattice and I could grow some flowers on it. But, rocking chairs first. dooley
