Robins in my yard...

    I was surprised to find this robins nest by my front window....last years nest was in the tree.

    There is not a bug that is safe if there are Robins in the yard. I enjoy watching pairs of them running around the yard stopping to catch bug movements. Great pictures!!

    Looks slightly different, taller, than the European Robin. Still a nice looking bird though. Thanks for posting Sherry.

    We saw 2 baby robins in the nest the other day....

    I was working in the flower bed this morning and I heard all this noise and momma robing didn't like me digging below her babys...I let her fly in and feed them and then she left so I quickly finished up....now I have to move a couple daylilys when she is looking for food tonight....

    When Ribbons are on the hunt, they take three quick steps in the same direction, then look with one eye down in front of them and see into the soil. Watch the movement and then attack. Nothing is safe in the first 2 inches of that piece of land. they are the best hunters but do need to be taught by their mother the art of hunting.

    Very nice photos. They will nest in the funniest places sometimes.
