It has been a crazy spring. Yesterday we got our first day of temps to 70F. Cold and rainy for months on end. The rhodies are usually finished blooming by now, but some of the later blooming varieties are just beginning. Most are just showing their glory. Here are a few of mine and the neighbors that lean over the fence.

I have a purple rhodie in my garden that has just started to flower. After seeing your beauties I might just invest in a few different colours.

I really enjoy seeing pics from your garden. These ones of the blooming Rhodies are so nice to see--they give an idea of what you have going on there.

They really are what I consider late to bloom this year...but none-the-less smashing.
I don't want to be a pest...but do you have any more pics from your garden? :)

Thanks Netty, Pianolady, Frank, Cherylad and Jerry.
Philip I only wish it felt a little tiny bit tropical. Feeling like I'll never get out of the three layers of sweaters this year.
MaryAnn I need to start doing a sunshine dance. Not too much rain, just coooool temps.
Sjoerd I am looking forward to summer break and some time to take some photos. Am finishing up with the showcase for our grant this week, a few more trainings and July looks like it is mine. I should have some pics from the neighborhood garden walk coming up week after next. Can't wait to see some other little local gardens. I get great ideas every year from this little walk about.
Eileen I walk around the neighborhood and enjoy all the different colors. Thank goodness for other peoples gardens. Rhodies (a large native pink) are also our state flower.
