Rose of Sharon pest! I need identification

    That’s are bigger than an aphid. Black with red spots. Had this bush for many years and this is the first I’ve seen of the pest. They are killing the bush.

    Sounds like a ladybug, how many spots? Some have only 2 and some have up to 7, they eat aphids and scale off of plants. A photo would be helpful but if not, do a Google search for simply black with red spots and see if this is the creature you are talking about.

    Ladybugs won't kill your plant Daryl but the pests they feed on will. So if it's ladybugs you have then I'd leave them to do their job.
