The first roses to bloom this season on the Freedom Hedge Rose and sprigs of Spearmint and Peppermint. The Chocolate Mint isn't tall enough to cut from. Rose and Mint together, smells so good ( photo / image / picture from toni's Garden )
Gorgeous Toni! I had no idea that your gardens were that far ahead of us...I won't see Roses blooming for another 3 months.
Some years they don't bloom until April, some years they start blooming in January.....depends on how mild our winter was. The bushes should be covered in blooms in a couple of weeks, they are covered with buds now.
As soon as I read the topic title I fund myself sniffing. Those beautiful roses along with the mint must smell wonderful Toni. I'll only have peonies until around June so it was lovely to see yours. :-D
Gorgeous. You have good looking roses. It is telling me that you certainly know how to look after a rose bush.
