The 3rd snow storm in 2 weeks is upon us. It just strated snowing about 9:45 am local. The weather guessers are saying 5 to 9 inches of new snow by the time it stops on Wed.
I hope you have someone to help with the shoveling ! That is a lot of snow. Just start counting the days down to spring...sometimes it helps ...I am dreaming of my gardens while looking at all the snow...
I just hope our forecasters are wrong and that we don't get the snow that they'r predicting for this week.
Petunia: safe travel to your son & girlfriend The rest of ya: Think spring, think spring, think spring. Now think spring some more!!!!! Global warming! Just kidding..................
Stay warm, Capt. The amount itself isn't too bad, but that of course depends on the amount you've already got on the ground. If we had another 10 inches I think I would be ready for the looney bin.
We already had about 19 inches on the ground, less what little melting we have had. We have about 4 inches of new snow now, but it has gone back to being real fine. The other 2 storms were the heavy wet stuff. This is light and fluffy. Which means if we get any wind at all it will drift terribly.
Just watched the evening news and they said in town they have 8". But here at home 5 miles north, we only have about 5 or 6. The heavier snow isn't supposed to stop until about midnight, 6 hours from now. Then we will have snow showers for another 2 to 3 inches. So we could see 10" to 12" easily. Someone said if you wanted to escape the snow, go to Canada!
Oh CK, I feel for ya. I think you guys are going to get the bulk of the snow this time. Sorry to hear it. It's snowing here too, sort of wintery mix. They are saying 3 to 6. I'll tell you, after this winter, I don't think any amount will ever phase me again. Stay warm. Get ready to fire up the snow blower. AGAIN.
Well it looks like about 8 inches here for us. Everything is closed here, schools businesses etc. They have us in a level 2 snow emerg. which mens stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary. If it turns windy, we will go to level3, which is emerg. vehicles only.
Oh dear. I hope you have some good food and a good book or something to occupy your time between shoveling.
Just came in from clearing off the front porch and bringing in fire wood. We have a good 9" of new snow. The snow pile where I clear off the porch is now higher than the porch.
