Rufus is a real character. He looks so sweet taking his teddy bear with him, almost like his security blanket.
Cute dog !! Is he a Water Spaniel ? Maybe a Labradoodle ? It's the curly coat that makes me ask. My dog would just rip that to shreds in 2 minutes flat, kill it and leave me all the mess !!
Labradoodle, although I think "official" ones have a lab parent and a poodle parent, but he had two labradoodle parents. The genetics becomes more random at that point.
Hi Rufus!!!! Has he had his Teddy for long Daniel? and does it have a squeaker? He looks so proud of it, sweet boy. It looks very clean hahaha or Teddy had a bath last time Rufus did. Angus is 11 now, and still has his first Teddy with a squeaker in it. He gets a new one every Christmas...it looks like a kid corner in the living room. He uses them to love up, and I swear to communicate when he wants something.
This is a new one this year, Christmas present. It has a squeaker but the innards are rope, so he doesn't eviscerate it. He has a toy box and selects different ones depending on... something. If other people are talking, he gets out a squeaky toy and joins in the conversation. Angus is 11 because he gets a lot of love
This is our son's dog Ted. Or as his partner calls him, her "fur baby." He has a soft toy squirrel. He takes it to bed with him every night. He once did something he shouldn't have, I think he broke something, so he got told off. He disappeared for the rest of the evening. When they went to bed, they found that he'd put the squirrel on their bed as a sort of an apology. One of them once left their phone on the sofa. So Ted took a "selfie."
Daniel My dog gets her squeaky toy as an interruption by saying I’m here too. Even when on the phone. She is a hoot much like Rufus. Even though he’s 11 he still looks like a pup. He’s even got his own hand made quit …❤️ DHR… our dogs/animals are so many things to us humans . What a cutie pie Ted is. He looks like he rules the roost.
Ted doesn't have it all his own way, as there's also Maggie. She's much younger, bigger and full of beans, whereas Ted likes to take his time over everything. They go to "doggie day care" some days a week. Each year the regulars "star" in a "Nativity scene." Ted as he's small, is usually baby Jesus. Maggie always fails the audition as she won't sit still, so she's excluded.
Rags would have a heart attack just being that close to all those dogs. She doesn't like dogs, she walks past and ignores them unless they bark at her then she turns into Rambo, has a vicious outburst of barking and snarling, and once she feels that she's truly put the dog in it's place, trots triumphantly off !! She's a 4 times rescue, that's her excuse.
Rags is not one for chewing socks or shoes...BUT... PAPER !! She has Pica when it comes to that. She will gobble up a leaf, a napkin, your electric bill, etc. I keep telling her that she's not a goat but she just won't believe me. On the other hand, though, clothing is safe unless you have a kleenex or money in your pocket !! I had five $100. bills in my back pocket to pay the painter but, he failed to come collect. So, before showering I tossed the jeans with the money in the back pocket, over the laundry bin because they were damp and sweaty. While showering, Rags took my jeans, dragged them under the bed, chewed a hole through that pocket and got to the money !! What was left was in tatters. If it weren't for the metal security strips being unpalatable to her, I wouldn't have been able to get my money replaced !! Needless to say I never leave paper within her reach but, for some reason, she never bothers the toilet paper ? Dogs !! Who can figure them !!
