Living out in the country has its moments, like when the MetLife blimp flies over. ( photo / image / picture from marlingardener's Garden ) We called the neighbors, who were out in their front yard looking at the blimp passing. We may not have a lot of excitement, but when we do, it's a doozey!
marlingardener, That is very cool. When I was a child they scared the death out of me. I would cry and shake. Now I they are one of the coolest things around.
We live just a few miles from the goodyear blimp docked in Akron...needless to say, I wouldn't have thought about those who don't see one regularly to think it was special, since we see them regularly. Next time I will photograph it for you.
Cheryl, if you look at the blimp's nose, you'll see Snoopy. If he was up there, I don't know who was driving the thing!
