Scary stuff. I'm glad they're replacing yours and it won't incur any cost to you.

Dw filled out the form we had the new one the following week, dang nothing like a new sharp blade.
ours was cracked at all 4 rivets, so glad to see a company do a voluntary recall before anyone was hurt seriously .....

I wish more companies were like this. It worries me when it comes to larger kitchen appliances with faults and the manufacturers have to be forced into recalling their products even although they are dangerous. Even worse are cars that have major flaws that potentially could kill their drivers and passengers and the companies know this and yet still put them out for sale without rectifying the problem first.

We put our claim in over a month ago. (Maybe more) They emailed us saying they are backordered and will send as soon as possible. Our blade is showing none of the signs of bad rivets though.

Actually it sat in the box for a good year before we even used it. My wife pulverizes a lot of dry dogfood, (old dogs) so I bought it as a backup. We do keep an eye on it after each use.
