My name is Lexxi and I'm a musician by trade. This is my first year with a garden and between gigs that's become my favorite passion. We've got Zukes, Cherry Tomatoes, Chocolate Bells, Jalapenos, Basil and Thyme all in containers. I have no idea what I'm doing and sure am glad to see y'all do! :-D
Hello Vancouver from central Texas.Glad to have you join us here on the Stew.Hope we can be of some help.
Hello from just north of you, outside Tumwater! As far as getting basil to grow, I'm a complete flop so I'll look forward to anyone offering advice! Thyme, however, loves our climate!
Hello Lexxi!!! It's lovely to have you here with us and feel free to ask any questions you have as we like to help others out. What type of music do you play and what instrument? We'd love to see any photographs you'd care to share as we're a nosey, but friendly, bunch here. :-D
Thanks a lot! I sing and play a little guitar in a rock band. There's some songs up on our page at www.myspace.com/lexxivexxmusic I'll get some pictures up, but I'm so bad with this digital camera! :-D
Hi Lexxi and welcome to GardenStew. I believe (after visiting your MySpace page) that you may be the first member we have to be in a rock band I liked the tunes, is it hard for a rock band to make a living nowadays?
Just had to say that I love your music!! Hey if you lived over here my youngest lad, David, and you could have a jamming session!!!! 8)
Thanks for the feedback on the tunes and all the warm welcome! And it's not much harder to make a living off music for us. The guys have all been in regionally popular bands going back to the 60's. The blues clubs and bars pay a whole lot better than the places young bands have to play. I'm just glad I like Zeppelin, Hendrix and Janis when I was growing up. Made things a lot easier!
