On our little country road that runs in front of our house--a Winnebago travel trailer (BIG!) went by, pulling a pop-up camper. I don't think those folks left anything at home!

Maybe their GPS gave them a wrong turn.

We travel along I-45 when we go into town and I've seen some motor homes pulling trailers as long as they are. I know those people don't leave anything at home. Some of them look as long as our house.

Some of the "campers" these days are huge and magnificent. And can cost six figures easily. I can see having one of that magnitude if you're out exploring the country. Or if it's a "tour bus" for a band or something. But to take something like that out just for a camping trip??? Ridiculous!
We lived in a travel trailer/camper for years... so when we went camping "for real"... we took the tent!

We also lived and traveled in a 34 ft motor home for years. But you can`t just run to the store in one of those. We pulled our truck. Only thing they may have taken a pop up for,,is getting roudy grand kids out of the house.

I couldn't afford the diesel to fill one up. Let alone buy one.
