B, you do make me chuckle. I don't think that very many folks on the allotment complerx are envious. There are some really good gardners there...and in general, most folks are primarily interested in veg only.
How much longer will that snow stay with you, Barb? It looks deep.

    The snow all melted yesterday.....
Last nite it started again.....Maybe 4 inches and losts of wind.........
Normally it is winding down now.. Snow melt , snow melt.. Was 58 on friday. Right now it is almost 10º
    right now.....Oh well.

    Can't win them all.....
Actually my 2 veggie gardens are bigger then my flower gardens here........I have tiny beds all over.
I freeze and can anything I can get my hads on . Made homemade peach pie for dinner, from my own frozen peaches.
Also had apple sauce (homemade) from my own trees,
Raspberrys, strawberrys, blueberrys, and blackberries in the freezer for jam or jelly...
Frozen corn , beans, tomatoes canned.....

    Now I better shut up..

It sounds like you do it like me...or vice-versa, :)
I wouldn't have the garden if I didn't can and freeze stuff in to eat from the rest of the year.'We did alot of work in the old and new veggie gardens this weekend. It was delightful.

Do you plant Onion sets and Lettuce and peas first/
That is what happens here....Onions I pop into the flower beds if the garden isnt plowed yet......I had a very satisfying crop of Chives 2007.....
I planted seeds, I guess the 2006......Does it take 2years or something? They were great tops when the regular onions were finished....We love the chive tops in our salads.......
We just love the tops of the onions with our lettuce.
Radish is always a flop for me.
