We have a new guest at our house, a "Say's Phoebe", or to be more accurate, a family of Say's Phoebe's. They have put up a nest right above the door out onto our deck. They apparently feed on insects, and they keep a vigil on various parts of the deck. I guess for a while we are restricted from deck use.

    Oh! He's so cute! :stew2:

Even though there are a variety of birds in our yard, I have never seen a Say's Phoebe before. And my goodness, what a precarious place to build a nest. Those little birdies sure are good engineers.

They probably think you're a lot less dangerous than your neighbours, Tom. :D Next she'll ask you to baby-sit.

I never knew such a bird exiseted Tom!! I learn something new on these forums almost every day. :-D Is it a type of flycatcher by any chance?
Such a delicate little bird. It has certainly made a beautiful job of the nest made with moss and leaves.
