These are some mountain/hills you pass getting to and from the campground. The road is twisty and up and down and rough and bumpy. The sign says primitive road, not maintained. They mean it.

We were a bit worried about this cloud being monsoon season but it went around.

The weather was very sunny and very hot and a little humid but down among the trees it was a little cooler and there was a breeze. One guest brought a canopy tent with a mister and set it up so people could go stand or sit under it to get cooled off. It was a very nice thing to do.

I just LURVE these pics! They are beautiful and sure have a "western" feel to them. Are they in Arizona?

Beautiful and rugged scenery Dooley. It must have been lovely under the canopy just surveying that wonderful view. :stew1:

This is in Arizona, about 15 miles from where we live. It is the only way in and out. I hope everyone got out this morning as when we came back from Phoenix it was pouring a gully washer and we could hardly see the exit off of the highway. I wouldn't want to be down that road if it got really muddy and wet. dooley
