    :D I love the last one! That tail is very long. Poor chap, what he must go through to impress the ladies.

    This is what I love about GardenStew - we get to see photographs of species that we don't see in our own countries!! :-D I never even knew there was a bird called a scissor tail. Thank you for posting your wonderful piccies for us. :stew1:

    Wow! These are really neat pictures. I have never seen one of these birds before. Here in Illinois I have seen a fair share of cardinals, and couple of bluejay....neither of which stay around long enough for you to take a picture.

    Oh, I love to watch the Scissortail Flycatchers swooping around catching their meals. We don't see them in the city but they love the country out where my Mom lives.

    I've never seen one of those. What an interesting-looking bird.
    Do they nest in trees or in hollows? Perhaps on the ground?

    Male Scissor

    I love male Scissor, because he has a long tail looks quite different from other two. :rolleyes:
